Respect Other's Perspectives

Each person has the right to expect validation, consideration, and empathy for their perspective.

When someone shares an issue, they deserve validation for their perspective. Providing validation for another person's perspective doesn't mean that you agree with it, simply that you recognize it.

When you assertively explain your position, you describe your perspective without being aggressive or submissive. Assertion helps you maintain and acquire respect for your perspective.

Consideration is the respect you give to others.

All assertion with no consideration is a definition of narcissism. All consideration with no assertion is called co-dependence. Either of these is problematic.

For the purpose of effective interaction, both parties should provide validation each other's concerns, and show consideration and empathy for each other's perspectives.

The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed.

And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.”
